VISIT OF HIS HOLINESS POPE JOHN PAUL II TO SPAIN

His Holiness Pope John Paul II visited Madrid from the 3rd-5th May; there he canonized several Spanish Saints and met with leaders of the Church and Government. He met privately with TM the King and Queen and with other members of the Royal Family, including the Infante D. Carlos Duke of Calabria, and the Duchess of Calabria (1st and 2nd left), and the Infanta Alicia, dowager Duchess of Calabria (standing behind the King) at the Zarzuela Palace.
